This estate derives from the unification of two farms: Corfecciano and Urbana. Corfecciano is situated at about 350 metres above sea level and the exposition and nature of the soil are optimal for the cultivation of vines. A characteristic of the wines produced at this vineyard is that they sustain and exalt the harmony of their elements especially when aged.

Urbana is found on the antique Via Volterrana and was probably a roman settlement and is mentioned in two documents of Badia a Passignano of July 1170 "Rogati intus Castello di Urbana". Nowadays in the area where once stood the antique castle there is now a group of farmhouses which display in their architecture ancient origins. Of particular interest is the beautiful Oratorio which sits on a small hill surrounded by cypress trees beside the villa. Frescoes of a well-known florentine painter of the XVI century decorate its walls.

Urbana is the centre of the company and here we find the modern cellar for vinification and the oil mill where olives produced on the farms are pressed. Beside the enchanting underground cellar where the old vintages are stored, a tasting hall has been introduced as a focal point for meeting and tasting. A friendly environment where, together with local products, cheeses, salami and cakes, the products of the farm namely excellent olive oil, various vintages of red wines, fresh and fragrant white wines and the customary Vinsanto can be enjoyed. We can also, if booked in advance, organise a guided tour of the farm.
